Parenting Pilot Privacy Policy

Parenting Pilot respects the privacy of parents, caregivers, children, and family members who use the service. This Privacy Policy explains what information Parenting Pilot may collect, how that information is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to users.
1. Information We May Collect
Account information, such as email address, authentication information, account identifiers, and language preference.
Family information, including family name and invited family members.
Child profile information entered by the user, including name, nickname, date of birth, school, grade, teacher information, activities, appointments, notes, tasks, and other family organization information.
Health-related information voluntarily entered by the user, including doctor or dentist information, medication names, dosage information, medication schedules, and related notes.
Calendar information when the user elects to connect Google Calendar.
Locations, addresses, and location search queries entered by the user.
Reminder, task, event, and scheduling information.
Subscription and purchase status information necessary to provide paid features.
Device, technical, usage, diagnostic, or security information reasonably necessary to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
Parenting Pilot does not collect information that is not necessary for app functionality.
2. Children's Information
Parenting Pilot is intended to be used by parents, guardians, and caregivers to organize family information.
Child-related information is entered and managed by the adult account holder or an authorized family member.
Parenting Pilot does not knowingly create independent accounts for young children unless a future feature is specifically designed and legally implemented for that purpose.
Child information is not used for behavioral advertising or sold to third parties.
3. How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
Provide family organization features.
Create and display calendars, reminders, events, tasks, schedules, and medication reminders.
Sync information with Google Calendar when specifically authorized by the user.
Provide address suggestions and location-related functionality.
Provide AI-assisted parenting and organizational features.
Manage account access and subscriptions.
Provide customer support.
Maintain security and prevent misuse.
Improve reliability and functionality.
4. AI Processing
If information entered by the user is processed by artificial intelligence systems, Parenting Pilot discloses that such information may be transmitted to service providers used to generate AI-assisted responses.
AI-generated content is for general informational and organizational assistance and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Users should not rely on AI-generated responses as a substitute for qualified medical, legal, mental health, educational, financial, emergency, or other professional advice.
5. Medication and Health Information
Medication and health information entered into Parenting Pilot is provided voluntarily by the user for organizational purposes.
Parenting Pilot does not diagnose medical conditions.
Parenting Pilot does not prescribe medications.
Parenting Pilot does not determine proper dosage.
Parenting Pilot does not evaluate drug interactions.
Parenting Pilot does not confirm whether a medication is appropriate for a child.
Parenting Pilot does not replace a doctor, pharmacist, poison control center, emergency service, or other medical professional.
Users are responsible for confirming medication instructions with an appropriate healthcare professional.
In an emergency, users should contact emergency medical services or another appropriate emergency resource.
6. Calendar Integration
If the user connects Google Calendar, Parenting Pilot may access calendar information only to provide features requested by the user.
The application requests only the permissions necessary for the intended calendar functionality.
Users may disconnect calendar access through Parenting Pilot or their Google Account settings where available.
7. Location Information
Parenting Pilot may process addresses or location search text entered by the user to provide location suggestions or associate locations with events.
If Google Maps, Google Places, or another location provider is used, information necessary to perform the location search may be transmitted to that provider.
Parenting Pilot does not collect precise GPS location through the app unless a feature that does so is introduced and disclosed.
8. Service Providers
Parenting Pilot may use third-party service providers necessary to operate the app, which may include:
Base44 or related hosting/backend services.
Apple services.
Google services such as Google Calendar and Google Maps or Places.
Authentication providers.
AI processing providers.
Payment and subscription services provided through Apple.
Service providers may process information only as necessary to perform their services and according to their applicable privacy terms.
9. Sale and Advertising
Parenting Pilot does not sell personal information.
Parenting Pilot does not use child information for targeted advertising.
If advertising or tracking is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy and the application's consent and App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before that functionality is deployed.
10. Sharing of Information
Information may be shared:
With service providers required to operate requested features.
With family members specifically invited by the account holder according to the permissions selected.
When legally required.
To protect users, Parenting Pilot, or others from fraud, security threats, abuse, or unlawful activity.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable law.
11. Family Sharing and Permissions
Users are responsible for choosing whom they invite to a Parenting Pilot family.
Full Family Access and Calendar Only access are respected according to the permissions displayed within the application.
Users should only invite trusted individuals.
12. Data Retention
Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements.
When an account is deleted, associated personal information is deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period unless retention is legally required.
13. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information.
An account-deletion option is provided within the app where supported.
At minimum, users may request deletion by contacting appcarecenter@outlook.com.
Deletion requests are verified before processing to protect account security.
14. Data Security
Parenting Pilot uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information.
No electronic system, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and devices.
15. User Choices
Users may:
Choose what family and child information they enter.
Remove or edit information where the app permits.
Disconnect connected services.
Manage notification settings.
Manage subscription settings through Apple.
Request account deletion.
Contact Parenting Pilot regarding privacy questions.
16. Privacy Rights
Depending on where a user resides, applicable law may provide rights concerning personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about certain processing activities.
Parenting Pilot will respond to valid privacy requests as required by applicable law.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Parenting Pilot may update this Privacy Policy when features, legal requirements, or data practices change.
